Wine Enthusiast has once again singled out Santa Carolina for its quality. The accolade this time went to our 2018 Carolina Sauvignon Blanc, picked among the 9 best Sauvignon Blancs of the year.
Santa Carolina was the only Chilean winery that earned a place in the ranking along with Sauvignon Blancs from the finest terroirs in the world, including Sancerre in France, Marlborough in New Zealand, and Santa Barbara in California, USA.
This recognition wraps up an amazing year for Santa Carolina in Wine Enthusiast: featured as one of the most iconic wineries in Chile, then with Carolina Sauvignon Blanc chosen as Best Buy, and finally, picked among the 10 best Sauvignon Blancs under USD 20.00.

About Carolina Sauvignon Blanc 2018
The grapes for our Carolina Reserva Sauvignon Blanc 2018 are sourced from the Leyda valley, where they receive the influence of the Pacific Ocean in the form of morning fogs and cool breezes. This allows the grapes–particularly the white varieties–to develop slowly and undergo a slow ripening process, delivering expressive and balanced wines.
Michael Schachner refered about this wine as “spunky aromas of grapefruit and lime are typical for Leyda Sauvignon Blanc. A fairly full palate feels a bit oily, while this is briny and mildly salty tasting, with lime as the core flavor. A steady finish with moderate fullness and bright acidity is solid.
