Luis Pereira, Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 – 95 pts

"Elegant and understated but complex and layered nose. Currants, berries and touches of cocoa powder, tobacco, savory spices and orange peel. Chalky, powdery tannins tucked into a medium- to full-bodied palate followed by a long, linear finish. Beautiful restraint here. Sustainable. Drinkable now, but much better in three to five years for additional complexity.”

Luis Pereira, Cabernet Sauvignon 2020– 92 pts

Luis Pereira, Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 – 95 pts

The most impressive of the few samples I tasted is the 2020 Luis Pereira even if it is not really exciting. It's a Cabernet from old vines in different parts of Chile with only 13% alcohol, and it's medium-bodied and with a completely different texture. It's lighter and has a fresher and less herbal nose despite the low ripeness of the grapes. 4,550 bottles were filled in February 2020.
